About Branell Homestead
Couples hire this 80-acre property near Laidley in the Lockyer Valley, about an hour from Brisbane, for exclusive use. Ceremonies are held on the Homestead Lawn or Pavilion Lawn, but only when the reception is also booked on site. The venue supplies no food or drink packages, so couples bring in their own caterers and suppliers, and hire gear is available. Pricing depends on the day, season and guest numbers, with Monday and Wednesday weddings cheaper than Saturdays and a small Homestead-only option for fewer than 20 guests. Booking the homestead for two nights is compulsory, and three cabins plus eight bell tents can house close to 40 more guests.
