Privacy policy

Who we are

Wedding Places Brisbane (weddingplacesbrisbane.com.au) is a directory of wedding venues run by a small Brisbane team. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

The only personal information we receive is what you send through the contact form: your name, email address, the topic you chose, the venue (if you picked one) and your message. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you write.

We don't create accounts, take payments or ask for anything else.

Why we use it

We use your details to read and reply to your message and to act on it, for example by correcting a venue page. We don't add you to a mailing list or send marketing.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your details or share them with venues. We would only disclose them if the law required it.

Storage, security and deletion

Contact-form messages are kept in our mailbox for 12 months from when we receive them and then deleted.

The site and mailbox are hosted by Namecheap. We're confirming with Namecheap which country the hosting data centre is in and will add it here. If it's outside Australia, your message will be stored overseas.

Cookies and analytics

This site doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and doesn't load fonts or scripts from other companies. We use Google Search Console, which shows us in aggregate how the site appears in Google search results. It doesn't put anything on your device or identify you to us.

Links to venues

Venue pages link to venues' own websites, emails and phone numbers. When you contact a venue, that venue's own privacy policy applies.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Send a request through the contact form with the topic 'Privacy request', or email info@weddingplacesbrisbane.com.au. We reply within 2 business days.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first and we'll try to put it right. If that doesn't resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
